History
Company S-1 was founded in the spring semester of 2006 by Cadet Major Carol Noble and Cadet Captain Justin Hatton as a gender integrated Navy/Marine outfit intended for students with a technical major.
Upperclassmen in S-1 were comprised of the finest cadets from all over the Corps who volunteered their time and energy to produce what has since become one of the most successful units in the Corps.
The class of 2010 was the first Spartan class to finish out their entire Corps career, from fish to senior, within Company S-1. The Corps Deputy Commander was from Company S-1 this year.
The 2010-2011 school year features cadets from Company S-1 in many leadership positions around the Corps of Cadets. The commanders of companies S-1, K-2, and the entire First Regiment are Spartans, as are the commanders of many special units including Recon Company, Ranger Challenge, Sandhurst, Aggie Eagle Post, Darling Recruiting Company, and the Army's Warrior Training Battalion.
